Some might say it's because now that's she's 18 she's not "forbidden fruit," but I think it's because she literally hasn't done anything for like 3 years. They even made a new season of Crown Lake without her. I don't know whether she wasn't asked to come back, or she declined, but it's still pretty bad when you're only acting credits for 5 years are a low-budget youtube series.
As far as being an influencer, she has a lot of followers but doesn't put out a lot of content, and what she does put out isn't exactly ground-breaking and attention getting. Also, I don't know how to say this politely, but she hasn't used her um... greatest assets. And I'm not saying she should. And in a way that's sort of refreshing to see a teenage "influencer" dressing and posing her age instead of trying to look like a pornstar. Now, I don't know if that's her own morals, and she doesn't want to go down the insta-thot route, or if it's her parents keeping a tight leash on her. Either way, I don't think her conservative approach has done her any favors as far as popularity and expose go. (Again, I'm not saying that's wrong, I kind of like it actually.)
What does the future hold for Miss Capaldi? Who knows? Perhaps this lull in her career has been because she wanted to focus on school or just have normal teenage years. You'd think with all the companies now that are putting out movies and shows she'd be able to find work if she wanted it, but maybe not. I know she did audition for Hocus Pocus 2 and didn't get the part. I've heard people say she isn't a good actress. Well, when has that ever mattered in Hollywood? I think if she wants to continue as an entertainer, she really needs better representation.
But what the hell do I know?
